Install Your Caravan Roof Screen

Start by opening the sliding door and feed the screen between the strut and the hinge.

Then walk the rest round the front of the van. You can open the drivers’ door and stand on the step to pull round and feed through the strut then the hinge.

Once both sides are covered, stand on the rear bumper and pull the ends in with the adjustable bungee. It needs to be taut but not tight — and that's it!

To take it off, just undo the bungee and from the driver or passenger side, open the door, stand on the step and gently pull until the screen comes free. Shake off any excess water, roll it up and put in the water proof bag. Then push as much air out as possible. Your screen can be stored under the roof space or the R’n’R bed.

The screen will dry itself out if this process is done correctly.

WHY DO I HAVE A GAP?

It is there for 2 reasons:

1 - My screens are 100% NON-POROUS -  nothing goes in and nothing comes out. So for anyone using a heater, gas appliances etc inside it means that should you have a leak, or carbon monoxide it will need an escape route SO I WILL NOT COVER GAP.

2-  It is so you can pull the 2 ends in taught and affix bungee, either by hooking corner to corner, straight across or cutting the t bungee in half (place hook in one side and pull cut end through the other eye hole and pull in, then simply tie off in a knot. You will only need to do this once as the bungees can stay in place. I have also seen people use Cable ties, rope, ratchet strap but I supply a bungee because this is more than adequate to do the job.
